🔥 We have been keeping a secret under wraps now for several months, but we are excited to officially announce that we are rebranding from 👉 Hudsons Ale House to 👑 The Duchess Of Cambridge 👑
Why The Duchess? Because we want to create a family-style pub, with a full menu of comfort food dishes fit for any budget.
We always loved Hudson’s Ale House and we hope you guys loved it too and our re branding and restart will, we hope, really represents our vision for the pub to everyone in our wonderful community at Trumpington. We want to share with you our love of a variety delicious food including British and International dishes, all homemade in house by our our talented chefs, who bring soul to each recipe.
A warm welcome, great bar and delicious food will all remain the same for our our lovely customers.

A quality and relaxing village food pub, in the beautiful Cambridgeshire village of Trumpington, with a friendly bar and serving all your traditional family pub favourites in a beautifully renovated interior and recently extended and improved family friendly beer gardens.
We are family friendly with a beer garden, disabled facilities, free wi-fi, a takeaway service, weekend kids play garden, a car park and vegan and vegetarian dishes on our menus.

Great Village Pub in Trumpington
With new décor and furnishings, The Duchess of Cambridge now boasts a more modern, up-to-date look. Comfortable booth seating has been added with interesting features such as a bespoke map wall of the local area and a distinctive deep blue bar. Quirky, colourful elements contrast against raw, industrial design features creating a cool urban feel, while original fireplaces remain a cosy reminder of the pub’s rich history.
Our customers are welcome to join us for a drink in our cosy bar or when the weather permits, out in our wonderful newly refurbished beer gardens. Our children’s play garden and family seating area is open at weekends only and is available to those pre booking a garden table. Our main beer garden is open for drinkers and diners all week.
Quality Family Pub Food
Serving a daily menu of all your pub favourites, freshly and expertly prepared in the pub kitchen by our exceptional chefs. The Duchess of Cambridge ethos is to serve no-nonsense, affordable, good quality food using locally sourced ingredients. The menu ranges from light bites, to traditional Sunday roasts. Booking for food is essential and at busy times inside tables will be prioritised for our dining customers. Outside we take table bookings for both drinkers and diners and it is essential to book at the weekend for tables in our children’s play garden.

Great Bar
Our bar is well stocked with a good selection of quality beers, lagers and 2 Cask Ales and one Guest Ale all of excellent quality. We also offer a good range of gins all served with superior Fever Tree tonics, plus some great whiskies, rums and a selection of fine wines. There are also some great low alcohol and soft drink choices and a selection of quality coffees and a great teas.
